STUDENT RUSH WILL CALL CLUB MAKES THEATER AFFORDABLE FOR EVERYONE

August 7th, 2011 · 1 Comment · theater

Got the following email from one of the co-producers of EUROPA:

“Guys,
If any of you can make it, I encourage you to see this.
I managed to catch it recently on another day they offered comps to see it (just a $5 service fee).
They do this show with a 7-member band (which sounds like much more) and they double up on several roles- some work well and some don’t; good to see for just that reason.
There are other reasons to see this- to see what other things work and which don’t- and we can discuss after.
Hope at least one of you can get there.
As well as being fun, it would be informative.
Best,
Ed”

So I looked into this website and it’s the real deal. Anyone may join StudentRush.Org, although some of the discounts are restricted to current students with ID. All free ticketed events, free non-ticketed events and free museum admissions are available to anyone. Ticketed free performances require a reservation charge of $5.00 per ticket. Baby it’s you looks good and here’s some info.

StudentRush.Org is pleased to offer FREE tickets to the following performance of BABY IT’S YOU! The original Broadway musical inspired by the true story of Florence Greenberg, a suburban housewife from New Jersey, who discovered one of the greatest girl groups of all time, The Shirelles, and created Scepter Records, becoming the music industry’s first female powerhouse.

Thursday, August 11 @ 8:00 pm
Tickets include a handling charge of $5 per ticket.
BABY IT’S YOU! is playing at the Broadhurst Theatre, 235 West 44th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue) New York, NY 10036

We have a limited number of tickets available, and are offering them on a first-come, first-served basis, so please don’t delay if you plan to attend. Go here to order: http://studentrush.org/
