HOW COME PLAYERS SUCK WHEN THEY PLAY IN NEW YORK (ON THE METS, YANKS, JETS, GIANTS, KNICKS, RANGERS, etc.), BUT FLOURISH ELSEWHERE?

HOW COME PLAYERS SUCK WHEN THEY’RE ON THE METS, YANKS AND KNICKS BUT FLOURISH ELSEWHERE? It used to be they would come to New York, say the Yanks and find themselves. That was of course until George Steinbrenner opened up the vaults for his free agents.

Right now Carlos Beltran is giving the glory to God for hitting a walk off single in the bottom of the 13th inning in a game you just knew the Dodgers weren’t going to win.

He’s hitting 429 in his playoffs career (never with the Mets except maybe 1 year when he sucked). He’s the top hitter in the playoffs (I guess for average) in the modern playoffs era. Funny that he’s never made it to the World Series (got close with Houston).

But with the Mets he was average. Of course because he was collecting. For me I don’t really care who wins the World Series as long as it’s not the Boston Red Sox.

But the Cardinals are certainly benefiting from having Beltran. Who else gets good once they leave the Yanks, Mets, Knicks, Jets, Giants, Rangers, Nets, etc.

Please feel free to add to the list.

I’ll start with Carlos Beltran and will add as I get submissions.
