SNEAKY BANKS AND THEIR SENATE COHORTS TRY TO SNEAK ONE IN TO KEEP DEBIT CARD FEES 4X AS HIGH

These guys still don’t get it. And whether or not any of us will go to hell is a matter for God. But when the Creator goes through the book of life these guys better hope this picture isn’t in there.

You would think, especially given the now catastrophic nature of the housing market crisis, and the coming credit and student loan crises, that it would be a bad idea to roll back the Durbin Frank Legislation to slash Bank Debit Card Fees (from 44 cents per swipe to 12 cents per swipe). In what was apparently the hardest fought, most expensive legislative battle of 2011, GOOD won over EVIL by only 6 votes. 6 votes??? Huh? Who are the 45 or so morons who voted to keep Debit Card fees high! If anyone can find the roll call please let me know so I can post it.

Do all politicians have to get caught in an airport bathroom (Senator Larry Craig), or sending penis photos on Twitter (Congressman Anthony Weiner), before they see the light. I didn’t remember the Senator’s name (so I Googled “Airport Bathroom Politician”) who propositioned another man in an airport but it was Senator Larry Craig who “didn’t do anything wrong”. He’s now a former Senator.

Do they have to get caught “rearing” a love Child like Arnold Schwarzenegger or John Edwards. To be sure, the four aforementioned have no shame. Arnold will probably sell more tickets for the next Terminator flick though which is the preposterous inevitability. But this is what we get from our politicians. Though let’s not forget what MOST of them really do.

Fundraising and exerting influence on behalf of powerful and rich lobbyists. And they do it in secret when they think no one is paying attention or WAG THE DOG when everyone’s paying attention to Lady Gaga or Snooky.

Next time the cashier asks you Credit or Debit – say Debit.

Here’s the article from The LA Times.
