replay ripoff Giants Packers

replay ripoff Giants Packers

Looks like Eli not only has to beat Aaron Rogers and the rest of the Packers, but the NFL Officials too.

25 years ago in 1986 the NFL instituted Instant Replay. It’s time now for the NFL to get rid of replay. While about 2/3 of people want instant replay, I think that instant replay should be limited to scoring plays only.

What are you supposed to do when your defense clearly strips the ball from a receiver (I think it was Greg Jennings), who is on his way to the ground as the ball is being stripped. BEFORE either a knee (or an elbow) touches the ground.

But don’t take my word for it. Here is a picture right off my TV (that’s why I can’t watch sports without DVR).

The point is the first official got it right, but was quickly overruled by a second official. Hmmmm….. But that’s not even the worst of it. They go to the replay where there’s clear obvious evidence and yet they still give the ball to Green Bay. Foul or Not Foul (in Baseball). Did the basketball player get the shot off or not before the clock ran down? Did the runner’s knee touch the ground or not before he lost control.

These are apparently easy questions that are black and white. But we’re being told that we’re not seeing what we’re seeing.

Just like we didn’t see Rodney King getting beaten up by cops.
