Osama is dead,

Well it’s finally done. The king of evil-doers is dead.

I have little interest though and for me there never has been a conclusion to my 9/11 story. Unlike the small throngs of college students in D.C. and New York that will reach for any reason to drink and party, I never really cried or got emotional (maybe a few times right after the event when I’d see a truck of firefighters go by), but as New Yorkers, having seen it all, we’re conditioned to continue.

Nevertheless it’s a nice piece of the puzzle, albeit a dark one, one without much definition or clarity that has been set in place. The icing on the Cake however will be when those towers stand resurrected.

So now we’ve gotten Sadam, Bin Laden, maybe Quadaffi will be next. And the World Trade Center will be rebuilt. But what will be the impact of any of these events on the average person? Nothing. Unless you take into account the collective inconvenience of all the construction in the subways. And so it goes.
