I said in a previous post that I had come to the realization that Housewife was the hardest job see previous post. Why do you think businessmen ARE businessmen. So they can STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE HOUSE.

But that recognition in and of itself doesn’t apparently go far enough. And I came around pretty quick when it came to pitching in. I don’t remember planning for this. When that little bundle of joy arrives it’s all smiles and loving.

I didn’t plan for….

Peeing on the bed
Food that misses the bib
Dishes forever
Picking up after my daughter a few times a day in order to keep a house looking orderly
Washing her
Changing her butt
Finding places for all her clothes
Reminding her older brother to put stuff away
Cleaning the apartment from top to bottom because friends are visiting
Running out of hangers
Shuttling stuff back and forth from storage
Baby proofing (wires, radiator)

Please let me know if you can add stuff to this list – I know I’m missing things.

And still – it’s worth every minute though I don’t always feel that way at the time. Though while I’m writing this post, the kids are having pancakes and I hear my daughter babbling as she’s trying to talk with her brother and his friend who slept over.

In my dreams my wife and I have some household help. And in looking for a video that suits this post, I came across something absolutely bizarre but cool – it’s the TOKYO MAID CAFE CHRISTMAS PARTY.

Whoop…That’s my wife – Pancakes are up. Enjoy.
