What a great night.

After an incredibly busy day which included 4 appointments for AT&T Interactive, I was ready for a good time. Earlier in the day my wife pleaded our case in traffic court which resulted in the dismissal of two cases. So it was just one of those great days all around.

A week earlier we had bought tickets for the Big Apple Circus. Sofia’s favorite DVD is “The Circus Is Coming To Town” and you should have seen her. Shorena got there just in time with the kids and we literally walked in as the performers were coming out into the ring.

Ringling Brothers it’s not. It’s almost more like a lot of performance artists, gymnasts and clowning around. There are some cute animal bits but all in all a good introduction for my kids to their first circus.

The ringmaster was a smart looking librarian type with glasses and a lap dog, there was a terrific magician and we are still scratching our heads about one trick in which he saws his assistant in half, who then disappears and only seconds later shows up in the audience – seemingly impossible. The Trapeze artists – The Flying Cortezes, were top flight and was one gymnast who exhibited amazing control and an exquisite as well as tantalizing ability to contort her body high above the ground.

After the circus we enjoyed the elegance of Lincoln Center and then visited and joked around with my old doorman at The Carnegie Mews on West 56th Street. I was glad Tommy got to meet my kids. We walked down Broadway and headed to Ted’s Montana Grill which has some of the best food you’ll taste at a restaurant in New York. The last time I went I had the Barbecued Chicken salad and wanted to be polite. So I left some food on my plate. Not this time. We had Bison Burgers and another Barbecued Chicken salad. All, as in every bit, gone. That’s how good it was.

Then it was time for the proverbial icing on the cake and we went to see the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center. What a great night.

Here are the pictures. How grateful I am for my family and for everything in my life this holiday season.
