SPOKEN WORD IS ALIVE AT THE GREY ART GALLERY

February 8th, 2012 · No Comments · arts

I like this place, the Grey Art Gallery. Lots of cool events and here’s another one. Paul Kostabi recently did a show there (see previous post). Now they are having a spoken word even including poets, lyricists, performers, literary aficionados & their fans:

The past two months of spoken word have been simply amazing. The amount of talent taking the stage and the growing number of supporters have all helped to make this a regularly scheduled event at the gallery. They are now reserving the second Friday of every month for spoken word!

It’s an open mic format so you can try your hand at it if you have the desire. And while you are here be sure and check out the From Paul Kostabi with Love exhibit that is going on for the month of February.

Other artists with new work on display for this opening include Mike Cockrill (one of my favorites), Joshua R. Troxler, Misako Oba, Chad Andrews, Matthew Ryan Sharp, Tyler Cooey, Yosiell Lorenzo, Janelle Whisenant, Danielle Charette, Dean Landry, Matthew Parrish, Phillip Evans, Evan Summer, Joanne Landis, and Aaron Meyers.
